The Notre Dame Fighting Irish got off to a great start against the Clemson Tigers. The Irish won the toss and elected to receive the kickoff. The first play of the game was a short pass from Ian Book to Brock Wright, but a Tiger holding penalty was accepted and the Irish were at 1st and 10 again. On the very next play, Kyren Williams went 65 yards down the left sideline for an Irish touchdown.

This is a top 4 matchup and the Irish look more than ready right now to perform under the spotlight. As of publishing, Notre Dame forced Clemson to punt very quickly on offense and is driving the ball deep in Tiger territory again.
Many people looked at this game as a low-scoring event, but maybe Notre Dame’s offense will change those thoughts. Just a reminder... it is very early in the game — but this is good.
