On Thursday, Notre Dame Fighting Irish head coach Brian Kelly announced that both defensive tackle Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa and linebacker Jack Kiser will be out for Saturday night’s game against the Florida State Seminoles.

When talking about Kiser and Tagovailoa-Amosa, Kelly said, “Availability. Him [Kiser] and Myron won’t be available.”

I’ll allow you to figure out “why” they won’t be available on Saturday.

Of course, the significance of Jack Kiser comes at a time when he made himself important to the team during Notre Dame’s last game. Against the Bulls, Notre Dame was down 8 players, which included both Marist Liufau and Shayne Simon at the BUCK. Kiser was informed on gameday that he would start.

Could that happen again this weekend? Of it can, because anything is possible in the age of COVID-19. Notre Dame may need to rely on the “next man in” once again this week.

As far as the depth chart is concerned, Notre Dame rotates a lot of players on the defensive line, so MTA’s absence won’t be all that impactful. Expect Jayson Ademilola and Howard Cross III to see more action this week.
