The Notre Dame Fighting Irish go on the road this week for the first time this season as they take on the Pittsburgh Panthers. The Irish will be out to prove their offense can overcome a very good Pitt defense — and so gain back some credibility with its own fans.
Currently the Irish are ranked #3 in both polls, so while fans may be freaking out over last week’s game against Louisville — voters love an undefeated team winning football games. Can the Irish stay undefeated this week, and can they do enough to keep the Big 10 schools behind them in the rankings?
Not that it matters... but sure.
Pittsburgh saw a couple of 80 degree days this week, but that all changes for the weekend as they dip back into highs in the mid-fifties.

Part of the issue last week was that it was terribly windy inside Notre Dame Stadium. That doesn’t appear to be the case this week inside Heinz Field, but there will still be a bit of a breeze.
Throughout the game, the temperatures will stay in the mid to low fifties and the winds will stay around 7 mph with gusts maxing out at 9 mph.

If it was a sunny day it would be a perfect day for football, but with the cloud cover throughout — well it’s still great football weather.
Notre Dame will face Pitt at 3:30 on ABC this Saturday.
