The depth chart for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish looks a little different this week for the Pittsburgh Panthers, although there aren’t many big changes. This will be Notre Dame’s first game on the road this year, and to be honest, I am really more curious to know who travels with the team this week. Weird — I know, so let’s get into it.

12 Ian Book 23 Kyren Williams 88 Javon McKinley 11 Ben Skowronek 3 Avery Davis 89 Brock Wright 74 Liam Eichenberg 69 Aaron Banks 52 Zeke Correll 78 Tommy Kraemer 72 Robert Hainsey
7 Brendan Clark 25 Chris Tyree 8 Jafar Armstrong 18 Joe Wilkins Jr. 18 Joe Wilkins Jr. 24 Tommy Tremble 73 Andrew Kristofic 76 Dillan Gibbons OR 75 Josh Lugg 75 Josh Lugg 77 Quinn Carroll
- OR 20 C'Bo Flemister - - - OR 87 Michael Mayer - - - - -
- - - - - OR 85 George Takacs - - - - -

As we found out at Brian Kelly’s press conference, Jahmir Smith is no longer with the football program. As we found out on Saturday... only Chris Tyree and Kyren Williams are really being used, so that’s fine from a football perspective. The big hope this week is that Notre Dame can get better play in the passing game. Braden Lenzy was hampered by a soft tissue injury last week, but is listed as a starter right now. Kevin Austin is also listed as a “OR” starter with Javon McKinley while Avery Davis holds down the slot with Joe Wilkins Jr. backing him up. Lawrence Keys III is still in concussion protocol. HOPEFULLY we will be able to see the potential of Lenzy and Austin on the field against Pitt (potential with production).

Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa is back on the depth chart this week, and Howard Cross III moves over to NG. FINALLY, Jack Kiser is listed as a trio of “OR” with Marist Liufau and Shayne Simon at the BUCK. Other than that — it’s all good and much of the same for the defense. There is optimism that Isaiah Foskey will return to form this week.

SPECIAL TEAMS

39 Jonathan Doerer 39 Joanathan Doerer 19 Jay Bramblett 65 Michael Vinson 19 Jay Bramblett 32 Matt Salerno 25 Chris Tyree
38 Dawson Goepferich 38 Dawson Goepferich 38 Dawson Goepferich 44 Alex Peitsch 14 JD Carney OR Lawrence Keys III 8 Jafar Armstrong

At what point do we start list Jay Bramblett as another quarterback or running back this season? Enough of the jokes... it’s the same group out there. While we love seeing Kevin Austin listed as a punt returner, it really does appear they are more comfortable going full John Goodman with Matt Salerno at this point.
