None of this is a surprise, and I feel like we’ve been talking about a possible Jurkovec departure for months now — because we have.
Ian Book’s return for one more year in 2020 is the most likely cause for all of this, but as with many things in life, it may not be that simple.
Wherever Jukovec decides to go, he will have to sit out a year, and then he will have two years of eligibility remaining. While I am not surprised by this move from Jurkovec, it has always seemed like the illogical choice to me. Then again, there may be a handful of factors that we aren’t privy to that has help set this in motion.
Good luck to Phil and whatever future he decides for himself.
