The Notre Dame Fighting Irish Hockey team was back on the ice Saturday against the Wisconsin Badgers following their 6-4 loss on Friday. The Irish offense came to play on Saturday as they took advantage of a few Wisconsin penalties to come away with the 5-2 win.
First Period
The first period passed without much to show. Both teams managed eights shots but neither could find a goal in the opening 20 minutes. Notre Dame managed two late power play chances but weren’t able to capitalize just yet.
Second Period
In the second period it was Wisconsin who managed the first goal, scoring on the power play seven minutes into the period. Notre Dame came back three minutes later with a power play chance of their own. Michael Graham cycled the puck around to Spencer Stastney who found Alex Steeves open at the top of the zone. Steeves skated in the high slot and let go a shot that found the back of the net to tie the game. Later in the period Charlie Raith took a pass from Nate Clurman wide of the faceoff circle where he scored his second career goal.

Alex Steeves assisted on the goal for his fourth point of the night. Tory Dello added an empty net goal for the Irish to seal the win.
