We all know the 2020 football schedule for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, but I don’t think I posted a table for it yet — so here we are.

Notre Dame’s 2020 opponents were a combined 88-67 on the season. Only the Clemson Tigers won their conference, but the Wisconsin Badgers did play in the Big 10 Championship game.
Eight opponents played in a bowl game with a combined record of 5-3. Add one more postseason loss to that total after the national championship game loss by Clemson.
The Irish don’t play in any dedicated college away games in 2020. Notre Dame will play a game at the home of the:
- Carolina Panthers (Wake Forest Demon Deacons)
- Green Bay Packers (Wisconsin Badgers)
- Atlanta Falcons (Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets)
- Pittsburgh Steelers (Pittsburgh Panthers)
- Los Angeles Rams (USC Trojans)
Of those five, only Pitt and USC are the actual home stadium of the school.
The Irish will have two bye weeks for the second year in a row. In 2019 it was because of the Labor Day Monday game against the Louisville Cardinals, and in 2020 it’s because of the August game against the Navy Midshipmen in Dublin, Ireland to start the season.
All of the early op 25 polls suggest that the only top 25 team that comes to South Bend will be the Clemson Tigers — which everyone has as the #1 in the country. So, one again, it’s a pretty weak home schedule.
The ACC will announce its football schedule for 2020 next week, so then we can start talking about home many of Notre Dame’s opponents have a bye week leading into their game. Last year the Irish faced 7 schools after their respective bye week — which seems like a lot.
The NBC schedule will probably be released this spring, and I would suspect that Clemson would get a prime time slot, but the Stanford Cardinal could also be a night game if we go by past precedent.
