Notre Dame Football: QB Phil Jurkovec is visiting Boston College

Hello Fredo

According to a 247 report former Notre Dame Fighting Irish quarterback, Phil Jurkovec, is visiting the Boston College Eagles this weekend.

Jurkovec recently put his name in the transfer portal and is wasting little time in his search for a new home. During his recruitment, Jurkovec held offers from all over the country — including Clemson, Alabama, and Ohio State, and is likely a hot name once again as programs look to strengthen their quarterback futures.

In early December, BC quarterback Anthony Brown put his own name in the transfer portal before the Eagles even named their new head coach, Jeff Hafley. When the Irish faced the Eagles in 2019, it was Dennis Grosel at quarterback because Brown was injured.

BC would be an interesting choice should Jurkovec make Chesnut Hill his home. It’s hard knowing what is there for him with a new coaching staff. It’s also one of those moves that would make him fairly infamous with Irish fans given the history between the two programs.

Notre Dame plays BC in 2022 inside Notre Dame Stadium, which would be the final year of eligibility for Jurkovec. That game’s date is still undecided, but with only one game currently scheduled for home in November (Clemson 11/5), this could very well be a senior day game.

Interesting.
