GAME THREAD: Notre Dame Fighting Irish VS Louisville Cardinals

We have finally arrived for gameday y’all! Tonight’s matchup between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Louisville Cardinals will be THE only college football game on tonight — so let’s hope they make it pretty. This game gets Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit in the booth, and Notre Dame will be playing its first ever game on Labor Day.

This is the beginning of the 10th year for the Irish under head coach Brian Kelly. A decade at Notre Dame has more effect than at a lot of other places around the country, and that

effect includes a fair amount of love and hate for the man.

Regardless of how one might feel about Brian Kelly, the Irish are 22-4 over the last two years with a bowl win over LSU and a berth in the college football playoff. That’s a pretty good two year run — and the best since the 1992-1993 seasons.

So... LETS GOOOO to see if the Irish can have a THIRD good year in a row.
