Notre Dame Football: Betting Lines for Georgia Game, Plus Championship Odds

The Irish are two touchdown underdogs in a matchup of top 10 teams.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are two touchdown underdogs against the third-ranked Georgia Bulldogs Saturday at Sanford Stadium, according to oddsmakers.

The over/under — or “the predicted number of points oddsmakers believe will be scored in the game by both teams combined” is 56 12 points. That, combined with the line, suggests a 35-20 Georgia victory.

The OddsShark computer is predicting a much higher scoring affair — 43 to 30. If that were the final result, then bettors holding slips for Georgia on money line, for Notre Dame to cover and for the total to go over would cash.

If you are considering betting this game, here are some trends from OddsShark to consider:

  • Notre Dame is 8-4 against the spread in its last 12 games in which they were the underdog, but 1-4 in the last five. Georgia is 5-2 against the spread in its last seven games as a double-digit favorite.
  • The Irish are 2-4-1 against the spread in their last seven road games.
  • Georgia is 11-4 against the spread in their last 14 games against teams with a winning record.
  • The Bulldogs have won their last 22 September games. The Irish have won their last 10 September games.
  • The total has gone over in three of Georgia’s last four home games, but the total has gone under in four of Notre Dame’s last five games and under in four of Notre Dame’s last six games against an SEC opponent.

Here are all the kickoff times, dates, TV/streaming options and spreads for Notre Dame’s opponents playing this weekend. All times are Eastern.
