The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have a roster full of players, and we want to talk about them all. One Foot Down’s player profile series will take a look at every single one of them, and hopefully we all learn a little bit more about these guys, and Notre Dame’s chances for the upcoming 2019 season.
#22 Kendall Abdur-Rahman, WR
This playmaker joins the Notre Dame Fighting Irish from Edwardsville, IL and made the 247 rankings as the no. 30 player in the nation. Abdul-Rahman finished his high school career rushing 1,135 yards and claiming 19 touchdowns his senior year.
Taylor Swift, Bon Jovi or Chicago
Going with another T Swift track. Abdur-Rahman committed to Notre Dame right after Irish coaching staff rejected T.J. Sheffield’s commitment for the same slot. Let’s just say the situation is delicate...
Hey, Dog, HEY!
The freshmen are puppies, and Abdur-Rahman is a young whippet. Whippets are relatives of greyhounds, and built for speed! #whippetgood

2019 Outlook
Abdur-Rahman must dedicate himself to making an impactful transition from quarterback to wide receiver as he begins his college career. He must bring all he can to his freshman season to truly distinguish himself. However, Irish recruiting coordinator Brian Polian explained Abdur-Rahman’s prior experience could work to the team’s advantage. Polian said “... he runs away from everybody. He has great spatial awareness. He makes people miss. We know he can catch the ball, we’ve seen enough of him in person.”
