The good news for Notre Dame: He's still practicing https://t.co/eXGLBMAv20
Despite this mishap, the sophomore from North Carolina has been practicing with a cast — and even won Player of the Day on Tuesday. A few years ago, there was a lot of attention placed on Dexter Williams and Tony Jones Jr. not playing through injuries, but that is certainly not the case here with Smith.
Jahmir had a really good spring, and at least in my opinion, was really setting himself up to be RB2 behind Jafar Armstrong and Tony Jones Jr. as RB1A and RB1B. With a soft opening season against the Louisville Cardinals and New Mexico Lobos with a bye in between — this shouldn’t have too much effect on the season moving forward.
I mean... he is practicing after all.
