The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have a roster full of players, and we want to talk about them all. One Foot Down’s player profile series will take a look at every single one of them, and hopefully we all learn a little bit more about these guys, and Notre Dame’s chances for the upcoming 2019 season.

#52 Zeke Correll, OL/C

Zeke Correll is a product from Cincinnati, OH, and he is an early enrollee from this past spring. This will be his first, full season with the Fighting Irish. He is an offensive lineman, but he is looking to take over the Center position that has a vacancy now because of Sam Mustipher’s leaving. With only two men older than him vying for that position, it will be interesting to see how the jumpstart on the team leads to his playing time.

Why? Well Mustipher left a blank space at Center. Could we write Zeke’s name in that blank space even as a true freshman? We shall see.

This dog looks young and has spiky hair. Compares to Zeke pretty well, I should say.

2019 Outlook

Zeke will have his hands full if he wants to be the guy to fill Sam Mustipher’s shoes at Center immediately. Especially as a true freshman, there could be some scrutiny there. Sam had to bounce back from a lot of scrutiny before truly coming into his own at that Center role. Zeke will look to compete against 5th year Trevor Ruhland and Sophomore Jarrett Patterson. Ruhland has experience on the O-Line. But, if Zeke is the guy for the job, you could look to see a lot of him this coming season.
