Notre Dame took the opportunity of the media frenzy from the Liverpool game inside Notre Dame Stadium to announce that the October 12th game against the USC Trojans will be a “GREEN OUT.”
On October 12th let’s turn the stadium GREEN!#GoIrish ☘️ #BeatSC pic.twitter.com/Sv5HtbK92Z

Notre Dame called for their first ever OFFICIAL green out last year for the season opener against the Michigan Wolverines. They played coward, however, and wore their normal blue jerseys instead of the green — which they wore on senior day against the Florida State Seminoles.
Funny how this year’s version of The Shirt is blue, so I guess you’re all going to have to have to buy another shirt.
With no Shamrock Series game on the schedule, I’m almost positive Notre Dame and Under Armour will pull out an alternate for at least one game this year. Will it be for the Jeweled Shillelagh against Southern Cal? Your guess is as good as mine.
