It’s getting close to August and fall camp for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, so naturally, we are wondering about some uniform changes from Under Armour. August is generally a time when teams start unveiling alternate uniforms or changes — and the Irish have done this as well.
So, this tweet is unsurprising:
important uni watch question: what’s the deal with this cross-hatching? is it new? help pic.twitter.com/Q5AvqtrgaB

That was a picture from the bookstore, where they are selling blue and white versions of the jersey. We know from past history, that when the bookstore is selling something — UA and ND are probably going to use it.
The thing is, the Irish have ALREADY worn this cross-hatching before. They wore the white versions in the Cotton Bowl versus the Clemson Tigers. Maybe people didn’t notice because of the shinier gold (or because of the beatdown) but they wore the RUSH 4 GOLD and the above pic looks a lot like it.
So yeah... I think a change is coming.
P.S. — Don’t forget the “150” patch will be on the uniforms this year too.
