Combs, a senior, made 15 appearances for the Irish, all in relief. He threw 16.1 innings with 19 strikeouts and 20 walks, amassing a 4.41 ERA and a 1-0 record. Combs did not allow a run in 9 of his 15 appearances on the season. Combs may be returning to South Bend soon, as the Cubs A-Ball affiliate play downtown at Four Winds Field.
