The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have a roster full of players, and we want to talk about them all. One Foot Down’s player profile series will take a look at every single one of them, and hopefully we all learn a little bit more about these guys, and Notre Dame’s chances for the upcoming 2019 season.
#19 Justin Ademilola ,DE
Justin, the twin brother of defensive lineman Jayson Ademilola, comes to us from a highly touted school with plenty of Irish roots, St. Peter’s Prep, out of New Jersey. Justin came to the Irish as a midlevel recruit who looked to add some depth on the scout team a year ago, but played his way onto the field, while still preserving a year of eligibility. He is a perfect example of the benefits of the new red shirt rule, as he saw action in 4 games a year ago. He will look to become a more consistent rotational player for the Irish all season. He clearly has a high motor and made plays every time he touched the field in 2018 (9 tackles in 4 games).
Taylor Swift, Bon Jovi, or Chicago
(Taylor, Obviously) After a year of waiting to get his time, I can confirm that yes, Justin is out of the wood, and should make his presence felt in 2019.

NewFoundland (Newfie). These dogs are massive and can be mistaken for bear cubs as children. I have to imagine that the Ademilola twins were huge babies.
2019 Outlook
After seeing the field for 4 games a season ago (FSU, VT, Wake, Clemson), Justin will look to play in every game this year. With so much talent spread across the line, the best way to consistently stay on the field is production, which is the name of his game. He amassed 9 tackles in only 4 games in reserve action, which is a pretty notable feat at defensive line. This combined with his high motor gives him some high upside heading into a season with an already stacked defensive line. I also love when both Justin and Jayson are on the field at the same time, and hopefully there will be a situation where they have a combined sack. It is tough to guess total tackles/production just yet, but Justin will be a contributor all season.

Gotta throwback to high school, which hopefully will change after an impactful season
