The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have a roster full of players, and we want to talk about them all. One Foot Down’s player profile series will take a look at every single one of them, and hopefully we all learn a little bit more about these guys, and Notre Dame’s chances for the upcoming 2019 season.
#41 Kurt Hinish, DT
Kurt has been with the team since the 2017 season, and he has seen a decent amount of game action. His overall stats have been limited, accumulating 13 total tackles in 9 games played last season. With Jerry Tillery, a first round NFL Draft pick, ahead of him on the depth chart for his first two years, it was a bit tougher for him to gain some traction as an every-down or even every-game lineman. He will be one to establish a tougher presence with Tillery now gone.
Taylor Swift, Bon Jovi, or Chicago
“Bad Blood” by Taylor Swift
Wait, whaaattt? Kurt seems like a good dude with no beefs. Well, of course he. But, I picked this song because in the last minute of the video in the fire, Taylor Swift has some pretty fierce eyeliner going, and the intense eye black has become Kurt’s thing.
Hey Dog HEY!
Again, eye black is fire here.
As Joshua, in January, gave us something to ponder on the 2019 defensive line, he noted that Kurt Hinish would need to be a big part of the upcoming defensive line now that Jerry Tillery is in the pros. Myron Tagovailola-Amosa will most likely be the guys at D-Tackle going forward. However, there is still Jayson Ademilola that saw some time last year. To keep the strength of the line and the tackle position in tact, there will need to be a full infantry here, and these guys, with Hinish, can step up to fill the shoes of players now gone. If nothing else, there is the intimidation from the eye black and Hinish’s prep (below is what I picture happens when he and Khalid Kareem put on all that eye black).
