The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have a roster full of players, and we want to talk about them all. One Foot Down’s player profile series will take a look at every single one of them, and hopefully we all learn a little bit more about these guys, and Notre Dame’s chances for the upcoming 2019 season.
#24 Jack Lamb, LB
In the spring of 2018, Jack Lamb came to the team as an early enrollee. He will be a part of his second season with the team after going through two years of spring ball already. Jack still has his fifth year option available. With the continuing dominance of Drue Tranquill and Nyles Morgan up the middle on defense, it was tough for him to make it up the ranks. I’m sure that will be his goal coming up in the 2019 season.
Taylor Swift, Bon Jovi, or Chicago
“Out of the Woods” by Taylor Swift
Jack is waiting to get out of the woods and into the clear that is playing time and making a name for himself as a linebacker.
Hey Dog HEY!
Bedlington Terrier

I Googled “dog that looks like a lamb” and got to a Bedlington Terrier. This is pretty self-explanatory.
2019 Outlook
Jack Lamb has yet to show a lot in his time on the team, but he did make a bit of a statement during spring ball. Brian Kelly said, “Lamb’s done some things in passing situations...that give[s] us an eye toward the fall.” His quote was in reference to Jack and Asmar Bilal also making statements in practice at linebacker. It seems that Jack is looking to be up there in the ranks with Bilal and Jonathan Jones. Fall practice in August will give us more answers, but Jack could show why he was so highly touted as a recruit.
