Brian Kelly and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish sent running back Deon McIntosh home from Orlando before they played the Citrus Bowl versus the LSU Tigers. Deon broke some team rules that eventually saw him dismissed from the team all together.
McIntosh transferred to Eastern Mississippi Community College, where he rushed for 1150 yards and helped the Lions win the NJCAA national championship with a 12-0 record. He had no immediate offers to play for an FBS school, but Mike Leach and the Washington State Cougars stepped in to sign him up for the 2019 season.
He was dismissed from Notre Dame 18 months ago, but if he’s got everything squared away, it’s pretty difficult to overstate how huge it is to add Deon McIntosh, given the state of WSU’s RB depth chart.
