The Notre Dame Fighting Irish locked down another top prospect for the class of 2020 on Wednesday when 4-Star offensive tackle Tosh Baker gave Brian Kelly and Jeff Quinn his commitment.
God. Country. Notre Dame.

I’m blessed to say that I’m COMMITTED and will be furthering my academic and athletic career at the University of Notre Dame!!#IrishBouNDXX #GoIrish☘️ pic.twitter.com/ZmP3MBisa3
Baker was the top offensive line prospect on Notre Dame’s board, and according to the 247 article, it was a stellar job by Irish offensive line coach Jeff Quinn in Baker’s recruitment. Quinn is certainly making his presence known nationally as an excellent recruiter for the offensive line after taking over for Harry Hiestand in 2018.
Baker chose the Irish over a long list of programs that include the Utah Utes, Michigan Wolverines, Ohio State Buckeyes, USC Trojans, Stanford Cardinal, and many more.
Tosh is the one that’s protecting one of the nation’s best Quarterbacks in this class too in Spencer Rattler (committed to the Oklahoma Sooners).
From the 247 Evaluation:
Tall and long frame, with narrow lower half. Plenty of room to add size and strength. Plus athlete with mobility and quickness. Light on his feet and comfortable moving laterally. Keeps defenders at arm’s length with long reach. Alert off edge to combat speed rushers. Raw from technique standpoint, but oozes upside as elite pass blocker. Could improve punch technique and upper body strength. Needs refinement as a run blocker. Potential multi-year starter at Power Five level and NFL Draft Day 2 selection.
This is the 10th commitment for the Irish, and it has vaulted them up to 6th place in the 247 Team rankings (that’s what a 5-Star long snapper will do for you I guess lol).

One of the most intriguing things about Notre Dame’s class so far, is that none of the 10 are from the same state. In fact, three of the bigger prizes left would also add to the “state diversity” of this class (McGregor - Michigan, Redding - Florida, and Tyree - Virginia).
Notre Dame has made a lot of noise this May, and they could turn it up to 11 in the coming weeks with a lot of big names still left on the board that are getting closer and closer to making a decision.
