Notre Dame’s football recruiting map is updated and the Irish are everywhere

As we mentioned earlier this week, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish are set up for a HUGE May when it comes to recruiting. While that’s great news, the fact remains that the Irish have already been killing it out on the recruiting trail for the 2020 class, and they’ve been doing it by being ALL over the country — and the world.

The Irish have 10 commitments for 2020 right now and all 10 come from a different “state.” 8 states (Missouri, Arizona, Kentucky, Hawaii, Illinois, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Colorado), Washington D.C,, and the country of Germany are represented in the class so far. With two huge announcements looming, Notre Dame could add Virginia and Michigan to that list.

The Irish have about 155 scholarship offers out across the country (some are already committed elsewhere, some are uncommittable, and some are extreme longshots). Of those 155 offers, 67 of them are in states that the Irish normally hit pretty hard and have been some of the biggest contributors to the Notre Dame roster. Those states are California, Texas, Florida, Georgia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

There are even 2 offers out in Notre Dame’s home state of Indiana that are obviously uncommitted to Notre Dame. So... what the Irish are doing right now is actually pretty amazing.

Now that the Irish are at the 85 man scholarship limit, I’ll post the annual State(s) of Recruiting with more detailed analysis in the next week or so. Until then, here is the updated map for all of Notre Dame’s signed commitments from 2010-2018 as well as the commitments for the 2020 class. It doesn’t include those that have transferred in to Notre Dame (but it does include those who have transferred out), so if you’re looking for Alohi Gilman, he won’t be on there.
