For those of you not following the start of the NBA playoffs this week, might I suggest bandwagoning the Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks currently have former Notre Dame standouts Pat Connaughton and Bonzie Colson on the roster, the former of which had arguably the best playoff game of his 3+ year pro career on Sunday night.

The shooting guard played 28 minutes off of the bench, scoring ten points: the most he has scored in a playoff game to date. Connaughton also had eight rebounds, an assist, and a block in Milwaukee’s game one, 121-86 win over the Detroit Pistons.

There isn’t any good embeddable video of Connaughton from the game, unfortunately. There is, however, a few good videos of his sharp play over on the Bucks’ site if you feel inclined to check those out here and here. The first is of Connaughton blocking Detroit’s Wayne Ellington’s layup attempt from behind while the second is of Connaughton’s lone three-pointer on the night.

Was Connaughton’s performance overshadowed by MVP candidate Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 24-point, 17-rebound night? A little bit. But that didn’t make Pat’s performance any less fun to watch.

Game two of the series is on Wednesday at 7:00 PM central time.
