The Notre Dame Fighting Irish added another big time addition to the football team’s future with the commitment of 4-Star quarterback Tyler Buchner.
God, Country, Notre Dame ...

Buchner is rated as the #2 pro-style quarterback in the 2021 class and hails from La Jolla California (any Big Lebowski fans in here?). The 6’2” 205 pounder chose the Irish over offers from the Alabama Crimson Tide, Georgia Bulldogs, USC Trojans, Michigan Wolverines, and many others.
Buchner still has to play in his junior year of high school, so I can understand if some people are a little jaded about an early commitment — but this is exactly what you need to help make the recruiting class an ELITE level class. Elite quarterbacks commit early and help recruit the rest of the class. At the very least, it’s a great start for Notre Dame’s 2021 efforts.
Although he is still technically a sophomore in high school, check out this throw:

When we say “quarterback of the future” we may really mean it in this case. In 2021, Phil Jurkovec will have 2 years of eligibility, Brendon Clark will probably have 3, and Drew Pyne will most likely have all 4.
Notre Dame is stacking them up at QB (which is always a smart thing).
