Highlights from Notre Dame’s Big Ten Championship win over Penn State

The Irish are IN.

It was an up and down season for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and heading into the Big Ten Tournament, we knew that the Domers had to win it all to make their 4th consecutive NCAA Tournament. While making the Frozen Four is always the goal, winning the Big Ten for the second time in as many years (and in as many years as they have been a member) was also a key goal.

The Irish are checking goals off left and right. First they dispatched Michigan State in two games, took care of Minnesota, and then they rose to the ultimate occasion to beat Penn State for the trophy and the berth.

Playoff hockey... so good.

Tonight’s win was Jeff Jackson’s 500th win of his career. He celebrated by continually praising the Notre Dame band and the fans.
