Arike Ogunbowale has long since cemented her name in as a legend for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, but in a 89-61 victory over the Duke Blue Devils, she put a stamp of gold on it as well.
Ogunbowale passed Skylar Diggins as the all-time leading scorer in Notre Dame history with a bucket in the second half. Arike cam into the game just 11 points shy of the record, and now that she owns it — that total will just keep climbing with every single game.

With 2,358 points, @Arike_O passes @SkyDigg4 to become the program's all-time scoring leader!#GoIrish pic.twitter.com/3JAR4q3e3h
Arike became a national name with the national championship run the Irish went on last season. She made the game-winning shot in consecutive Final Four games, and that’s when the “Ice in her Veins” legend took of like wildfire.
This program has become one of the truly elite basketball programs in the country under the guidance of head coach Muffet McGraw. That means that the Irish have had some truly great players during that time, and now there are none greater than Arike Ogunbowale.
