The 2020 recruiting cycle is well under way and with that comes the big winter/spring visit season. These visits have become increasingly more important to the Irish as the early signing period in December has bumped up the timelines.
So, who will be visiting the Notre Dame Fighting Irish this Saturday?
OFFERED 2020 RECRUITS
- 4-Star DB Lathan Ransom
- 4-Star OL Reece Atteberry
- 4-Star WR Justin Robinson
- 3-Star RB Jutahn McClain
- 3-Star CB Landen Bartleson
- 3-Star WR Maliq Carr
The top dog in this group is definitely Safety prospect, Lathan Ransom. Fun fact here, is that Ransom is teammates with 5-Star running back Bijan Robinson at Salpointe Catholic in Tuscon Arizona. I like the film on Jutahn McClain and he definitely seems like a take despite offers out to multiple 5-Star running backs (I can also find a way to rhyme Wu-Tang Clan with him so that’s always good).
NON-OFFERED 2020 RECRUITS
- 3-Star RB Kyle Edwards
- 3-Star DE Cameron Large
- 3-Star WR Jay Brunelle
- 3-Star DE Jaden Hardy
When it comes to the non-offered players that are visiting, I think it’s important to look at who has offered them at this point in the recruiting cycle. Edwards has an offer from the Alabama Crimson Tide. Large has offers from the Ohio State Buckeyes and LSU Tigers. Hardy is not the 5-Star basketball guard for the 2021 recruiting cycle (in case you were wondering.
GRAD TRANSFER
- WR Eric Kumah Virginia Tech Hokies
The Irish want the services of Kumah, and that means you should too. Any argument that claims that Kumah joining the Irish would hinder the development of the younger WR’s — is quite ridiculous. This is a competition friendly position, and the best 3 or 4 will play the most. I can’t find any fault in that type of scenario.
THE CLASS SO FAR
Notre Dame currently has 5 commitments in a class that may only be able to take 20 (give or take a few).
