The Notre Dame Fighting Irish became a forgotten team in 2019 by their own hands. The national spotlight was lost in Ann Arbor, and there was nothing the Irish could do to change their circumstances. The hope that a decent bowl game against a ranked opponent would provide some redemption withered away once it became known that Notre Dame would face the Iowa St. Cyclones in the Camping World Bowl.
Reports about Notre Dame having a bad bowl week of practice is both unsurprising and a little scary. Despite no one giving a crap if Notre Dame wins — it would be massive if the Irish lose.
So, just win.
I have nothing else for you, and I’m as curious as the next person about how this game will end up with Tommy Rees calling the offense.
Lock it up.
