Early Signing Day 2020: Meet Notre Dame’s Defensive Signees

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish signed seven defensive players (and one long snapper) today during the early signing period. Here is a snapshot of the newest group.

JORDAN BOTELHO*

Hometown: Honolulu, Hawaii

High School: St. Louis

Position: Inside linebacker, although the Irish intend to use him at defensive end

Height: 6-foot-2

Weight: 229 pounds

Senior season stats: 35 12 tackles, including 10 sacks; undefeated and a state champion; finalist for the Butkus Award, which honors the nation’s best linebacker.
