The Notre Dame Fighting Irish just needed a win against the Virginia Tech Hokies to help move on from the Michigan disaster — and they just got one. Now it’s on to North Carolina for the most #goacc of matchups against the Duke Blue Devils.
Here are the depth charts for the Irish.

There is a big change this week along the offensive line due to the injury to Robert Hainsey, as well as the continued loss of Tommy Kraemer. Josh Lugg will get the start at right tackle, and Trevor Ruhland will continue at right guard. The bigger questions come if another player goes down. The depth chart doesn’t tell the real order — for example if Liam Eichenberg goes down; Aaron Banks will move to left tackle, Jarrett Patterson will move to left guard and Colin Grunhard will take over at center... we think.

No real movement on the defensive side of the ball. Jack Lamb injured his hip against VT, and was the starter in the Dime package. That role will most likely go to either Shayne Simon or Jordan Genmark Heath, although it wouldn’t surprise me if Clark Lea does something else too. Donte Vaughn is still an “OR” with TaRiq Bracy, but it was Vaughn that saw most of the action last Saturday and had a decent game to show for it.

No changes here. Jay Bramblett was a hero last week for his stellar hold that allowed Jonathan Doerer to kick the game winning extra point. Lawrence Keys III made a huge mistake last week on kick return that was OH so close to being a safety, but appears to have retained his starting role.
