Notre Dame Fighting Irish VS Stanford Cardinal: Depth Chart

For the Legends Trophy!

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish head out to California to take on the Stanford Cardinal for their 34th meeting. As Notre Dame’s star has risen — Stanford’s has fallen. With a 4-7 record this year, the Cardinal look nothing like what we have come to know them as over the last decade. Is this the year Brian Kelly finally wins in Palo Alto?

Here is the Notre Dame Depth Chart for Saturday:

OFFENSE

It’s pretty much the same depth chart from last week. Javon Mckinley was out the last two weeks wit an injury, and it appears he will be out this week as well. What will be interesting to keep an eye on is which Notre Dame running back actually gets the carries on Saturday. C’Bo Flemister has appeared to pull ahead of Jafar Armstrong (and Jahmir Smith for that matter) in the pecking order. Tony Jones Jr. will still likely be option 1, but Flemister is really coming on in the eyes of the Irish staff.

DEFENSE

9 Cam Hart - - 94 Isaiah Foskey 55 Ja'mion Franklin 90 Hunter Spears 18 NaNa Osafo-Mensah - - - 4 Avery Davis

The Irish have suffered several big injuries at defensive end, but have managed to move forward really well because of their depth. Isaiah Foskey is now on the depth chart, but will still be eligible for a redshirt. The interior defensive line is also banged up, and we could see more of Hunter Spears this week and Jacob Lacey playing some at the 3 technique. Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa will have an MRI this week, and he may not be able to go. Jayson Ademilola is also a little banged up. It should be noted that Shaun Crawford has been the corner opposite of Troy Pride Jr. over the last couple of weeks, and I expect that to be the case again on Saturday.

All good here and Jonathan Doerer is a BOSS. Keep an eye on the KR spot though as it still may be a toss-up if Joe Wilkins gets on the plane.
