How’d we do last week?
As mentioned last week, I will feature the Most Interesting, Most Wildly Inaccurate, and Most Accurate Takes for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish from the previous week. Here we go!
Interesting

I’m down to try to Chocolate Sauce TBH. Also, Book throwing for more than Navy runs was a solid call.
Wildly Inaccurate

Clearwall HAD to know this one was coming. I still think he was trying the old “reverse jinx”. If he was, then this was a wild success.
Accurate

Chase Claypool having a Career day? Check and Mate. Let’s watch that one back for good measure.
And now onto the takes between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Boston College Eagles.
Cold Take
Another Kyle Hamilton Interception

He has been EVERYWHERE this year. He has exceeded expectations and if it weren’t for returning senior captain safeties, he would have done even more. BC quarterback Dennis Grosel is not very accurate (under 50%), and sits in the pocket a lot. I actually don’t hate his tape, but the pressure will get to him and Hamilton will get one, especially if the Irish go up early. This will force BC to try and take some shots downfield, where Hamilton excels juuuust a little bit.
Hot Take
Career day in catches and total yards from Chris Finke

Last week I predicted a Finke Punt Return touchdown....and that was ripped from the both of us due to a shitty holding call. Regardless, Finke has looked completely healthy over the last couple of weeks and has been the player we expected him to be all year. He continues this upward trend by setting career highs in both catches and all purpose yard. BC will absolutely key on stopping Chase Claypool (if they don’t they’re dumb), which will leave more room for the Slippery Fox to work his magic on Senior Day. He is also a guy the coaches love and want to celebrate his last home game (I’m tearing up writing that). Finally, Ian Book will want to get his guy a touchdown, can’t test the power of friendship.
