The Notre Dame Fighting Irish took care of a little bit of business inside Wallace Wade Stadium with a 38-7 win over the Duke Blue Devils.
Ian Book set a new Notre Dame football record with his performance.

So yeah, much of the attention was given to the Notre Dame offense — and they did have a great day — but the defense made sure this game was never in doubt. Drew White led the way with 7 tackles and a sack, but I have to give a shout out to Troy Pride Jr. with 6 tackles and his first interception of the season. Pride has been a target for a lot of negativity over the past few weeks, but he really had himself a game against Duke.
Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah continues to get better in his first year as a starter, and Jayson Ademilola had maybe the best game of his young career.
Sadly Julian Okwara, one of Notre Dame’s best defenders, may be seriously hurt moving forward.
Based on some early feedback, I believe that the ankle injury may be very serious. https://t.co/ejEvy2LbQ4
