Notre Dame Football: Betting Lines for Bowling Green Game Plus Championship Odds

The Irish haven’t been favored this much in 30 years.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are 45 12 point favorites in their Saturday home game against the Bowling Green Falcons, according to oddsmakers.

The over/under — or “the predicted number of points oddsmakers believe will be scored in the game by both teams combined” — is 61 points. That, combined with the line, suggests a 53-8 Irish victory.

The OddsShark computer predicts a similarly lopsided score, with the Irish prevailing 49-8. If that were the final score, bettors holding slips for Notre Dame on the moneyline, Bowling Green to cover and the total to go under would cash.

This is the largest spread for a Notre Dame game since the Irish were 54 point favorites at home against SMU in 1989. The Irish won that game, 59-6.

If you’re considering betting this game, here are some trends from OddsShark for you to consider:

  • Bowling Green is 1-4 against the spread in its last five 5 games.
  • The total has gone under in 8 of the Falcons’ last nine games and four of the last five on the road. The total has also gone under in five of Notre Dame’s last seven games.
  • The Irish are 5-2 against the spread in their last seven Saturday games.

Here are all the kickoff times, dates, TV/streaming options and spreads for Notre Dame’s opponents playing this weekend. All times are Eastern.
