The 30-27 win last night for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish over the USC Trojans was a fun affair. It was a rivalry win — and Notre Dame’s 3rd in a row over Southern Cal.
I know Tony Jones Jr. isn’t the most exciting back in the country, but he has swooning all over the place with that 176 yard performance on the ground. Braden Lenzy did exactly what we thought he COULD do with the ball, and I was almost horrified when Cole Kmet caught his TD pass as his legs seemed in danger.
All in all it was a great night despite the many hot takes about the offense and Chip Long’s playcalling. The Irish are 5-1 as they head into the bye week, and we get to go up to Ann Arbor to beat the crap out of Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines.
Yay!
