One more sleep before the Notre Dame Fighting Irish host the USC Trojans for the Battle of the Jeweled Shillelagh inside Notre Dame Stadium. There was a lot made earlier this week about the predicted weather in South Bend on Saturday, and we were looking at possibly a very chilly game... and that still remains to be the case even if the predicted temps are higher than what they were on Monday.

The forecast calls for a sunny day for all of you degenerates out there tailgating (heart you). The morning starts out in the high 30’s but as lunch approaches, the temperatures rise to a high of 52. There will be, however, quite a bit of wind — so it will feel considerably colder.

At kickoff, the temps will be in the mid 40’s but the wind will only lighten up just a bit with a 14 mph breeze and 18 mph gusts. Without the sun to keep things normal, it will feel more like it is in the mid-30’s. Just a gorgeous, clear, and cool night of football.

This is football weather, and we all know that Southern Cal is as soft as Charmin and is perfect for wiping our butts. Let’s go get it.
