Denson is a legend for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He’s the career rushing leader and one of the most respected and well liked members of the coaching staff. He has had his fair trouble of recruiting talent to South Bend since his arrival in 2015.
Yes, it’s well known that despite recruits raving about Denson as a person, the big fish chose different ponds to swim in for their college career.
However... as a coach, Denson has been lights out. No Notre Dame running back has lost a fumble since the Boston College game in November of 2015. He also oversaw the development of some of Notre Dame’s most explosive running backs in recent memory; C.J. Prosise, Josh Adams, and Dexter Williams.
This was just an interview, and no other details have surfaced about the possibility of Charleston Southern offering Denson the job. There has also been no names surfacing as possible candidates to replace him should he get the job — but I’m sure some of you have a few in mind.
