According to the USCHO, the hockey game inside Notre Dame Stadium between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Michigan Wolverines will be delayed one hour. The reason given... the sun. In dreary South Bend, the sun will be too bright at the start of the game and they are worried about player safety.
Notre Dame Stadium just hosted the Winter Classic between the Chicago Blackhawks and Boston Bruins on New Years Day, and although this game being moved from Compton to Notre Dame Stadium was just announced a few short months ago — the planning process has been a long one.
A Michigan athletic team will attempt to beat Notre Dame for the first time inside Notre Dame Stadium since 2011. The game will now start at 4:30.
