A few hours north of South Bend, Irish hoops fans will get to see two Notre Dame greats wearing the same uniform once again.

Earlier this week, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski first reported that Bonzie Colson signed a two-way contract with the Milwaukee Bucks, who Pat Connaughton joined earlier this season. Colson put pen to paper on that deal on Tuesday.

Connaughton, now in his fourth pro season, indicated his excitement to once again be teammates with Colson with a barrage of shamrock emojis.

Colson was undrafted in 2018 before signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers who designated him to their G-league affiliate the Canton Charge for most of the season. Now he’ll be spending time with the Bucks and their G-League affiliate the Wisconsin Herd. He didn’t make an appearance for the Cavs in the regular season, but did play for them in four preseason games.

In the G-league, Colson has played in 24 games and averaged 15.6 points per game and 7.8 rebounds per game. In one game for the Herd, he’s already doing stuff like this.

It’s tough to say when exactly Colson will suit up for his first game with the Bucks. When it does happen though, hopefully there are some quality high fives exchanged between the two ACC champs.
