There was a steamrolling amount of information coming in late Saturday night about the possibility of Chip Long leaving his position as offensive coordinator with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish for a different job with the Alabama Crimson Tide. As of this morning, that move seems to be dead in the water.
According to a report from Tim Prister of Irish Illustrated, Chip Long will not be leaving Notre Dame and Brian Kelly for a job with Nick Saban at Alabama.

For the second year in a row, there was mutual interest from both Alabama and Chip Long, and for the second year in a row... he appears to be staying in South Bend.
