As Notre Dame fans know by now, quarterback Brandon Wimbush has entered his name into the transfer portal and will likely play elsewhere as a graduate transfer.

The favorite to land Wimbush is Penn State at 3/2 odds. Wimbush originally committed to Penn State back in 2014 before eventually deciding on Notre Dame.
Other destinations Vegas lists include Mississippi State (5/2), Rutgers (3/1), Boston College (4/1), Georgia Tech (5/1), Maryland (8/1), Miami (8/1), LSU (10/1), Syracuse (10/1), Temple (10/1), Buffalo (20/1) and UConn (20/1)
Wimbush also reportedly visited UCF this weekend and was impressed. That situation could work depending on what happens with injured quarterback McKenzie Milton in the next few months. Former Notre Dame players Parker Boudreaux and Jonathan MacCollister are also on UCF’s roster.
Per Eric Hansen of the South Bend Tribune, Wimbush could make a decision on where he’ll spend the rest of his college eligibility by the end of this coming week. Wimbush will be eligible for the 2019 season as a grad transfer.
Wherever Wimbush lands, it’s safe to say Irish faithful wish him well after his admirable tenure in South Bend.
