The top four remain the same as well this week. Oklahoma and Wisconsin traded the number five and six spots with Oklahoma making the jump after a 49-21 win against UCLA. Auburn, like Notre Dame, held their spot at number seven. Stanford and Washington traded the number nine and ten spots after the Cardinal won 17-3 against USC and UW blew out North Dakota.
Future Notre Dame opponent Virginia Tech dropped to number 13 despite a blowout victory over William & Mary. USC also fell to number 22 after their loss to Stanford. Michigan rose to number 19 after a big win against Western Michigan.
Florida State, another future Notre Dame opponent, also received one vote this week.
Notre Dame’s next game against a ranked team is against Stanford on September 29th.
