The Notre Dame Fighting Irish pull an “Ohio State” this week and dig into the MAC for some early season action (don’t even mention MACtion this week). The Ball State Cardinals are coming up to South Bend to take on this newly minted #8 ranked team in the country.
Don’t yawn y’all. Outside of the fact that the MAC is historically known to wreck lives and ruin marriages, there is some real “bad blood” involved here, and you need to know about it.
They have already invaded South Bend with the Jolly Roger.

More than that, however, was the loss that the men’s basketball team took last season at the hands of the Cardinals. When it was all said and done, that loss is what really kept the Irish out of the NCAA Tournament.
Look... NO ONE COMES INTO OUR TOWN AND HANGS UP THEIR PRATE FLAG. NOBODY!
Notre Dame should have plenty of motivation this week, and we should expect nothing less than a bloodbath — cardinal red [said in the cheesiest 80’s action movie voice possible].
Per usual, all of the Ball State stories for this game will be found here.
