Notre Dame Abuses Stanford And Wins 38-17

Notre Dame is 5-0 y’all!

NCAA Football: Stanford at Notre Dame Matt Cashore-USA TODAY Sports

The undefeated Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the undefeated Stanford Cardinal just played in the biggest game inside Notre Dame stadium since Ohio State played there in 1996. The result was quite different, and the Irish beat the Cardinal 38-17.

For all of the talk leading up to this game and all of the different scenarios being tossed around — it was what it always is with these two teams... a very physical game. This time though, it was the Irish landing more blows throughout the night.

Ian Book put in a strong performance, but his skill position players of WR Miles Boykin and RB Dexter Williams helped carry the load. The two accounted for over 300 yards and 2 TD’s to help the Irish pull away, while the defense applied enough pressure to keep Stanford off balanced all night.

Jerry Tillery sacks, Te’von Coney interceptions... the Legends Trophy is coming home.

HUGE WIN for the Irish, and we will have MUCH MUCH more on winning this game and the future of the season.
