Notre Dame Fighting Irish Depth Chart VS Wake Forest Demon Deacons

A few special changes.

The first road game is nearly upon us as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will travel to Winston-Salem to take on the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in semi-ACC play. Notre Dame released their depth charts, and they are pretty close to being the same as last week — but not quite.

No movement here. The one note is that even though Cole Kmet is listed on the deoth chart, he won’t play against Wake Forest. It will again be up to Alizé Mack, Nic Weishar, and Brock Wright to hold it down.

No movement here either. I did add the NICKEL to the depth chart this week. While Notre Dame doesn’t release that officially, it is a huge position on defense. It was also one that saw a change last week as Houston Griffith played the NICKEL and not Nick Coleman (Coleman didn’t play a down). I have Coleman listed as the starter this week, but I will try to get some clarification moving forward. The loss of Shaun Crawford this year has been more than noticeable on the back end, even though Coleman and Griffith have played fairly well.

After the second week of trotting out a different kick returner than what was listed, the depth chart finally changed. Michael Young will be alongside Jafar Armstrong on the kick return team. Young had a good game last week, and really showed some things (mostly spped) that makes this move a no-brainer. Michael Vinson returns to his role as the back-up long snapper after a week with Nic Weishar in that role.
