Notre Dame Football: Hot and Cold Takes for Vanderbilt

How’d we do last week? Hint: horrible. On to Vandy!

I am always dumbfounded about how BIG this man is.

How’d we do last week?

As mentioned last week, I will feature the Most Interesting, Most Wildly Inaccurate, and Most Accurate Takes from the previous week. Unfortunately, we all performed pretty terribly last week in our predictions, so let’s do do (skate) better. Shout out anyone who gets that reference/I’ll feature you next week if you do.

Interesting

Eggplant Panini is a bit questionable and Reubens should never be cold....But suddenly I am hungry. Thanks GreatYoga, a pleasure as always!

Wildly Inaccurate

Sadly....Not many touchdowns were scored on this day, let alone by 5 different people. Bummer.

Accurate

About the only accurate (ish) take of anyone! My favorite named Irish player C’Borius Flemister saw his first action of the year returning kicks, and looked solid!

Cold Take

Special teams do not have any miscues. This has definitely been an area for improvement over the first two weeks. Tyler Newsome will have a consistent game and Jonathon Doerer will not kick the ball out of bounds.

Hot Take

The Notre Dame Defense has 5 + Sacks. I think we shut down the run this week and Vanderbilt takes to the air. Kyle Shurmur is a solid pocket passer, but not too mobile, which gives the defensive front the opportunity to get to him. Look for Julian Love and Troy Pride Jr. to play a lot of press coverage, giving the D line and linebackers time to close the pocket in a hurry.

Your Takes: Please leave your takes below as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish take of the Vanderbilt Commodores (hot, cold medium-any temp). I will feature the Top Takes next week. GO IRISH!
