At OFD, we want to make sure that we let you all know about the players on the team for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. This includes the new players joining the team this year, the freshman. One of those guys is a freshman running back.
#20 C’Bo Flemister
C’Bo Flemister is a running back coming from Zebulon, GA and Pike County High School. He was a 3 star recruit probably later in the game than he would’ve liked. As Joshua broke down for us, we had some studs at running back leave the Irish for many reasons. That led the way for C’Bo to be added to the roster on National Signing Day.
3 Things to Know About C’Bo Flemister
- His real name is C’Borius, which actually makes his name sound cooler than C’Bo. Although, I really like C’Bo. Just a classic football name.
- Joshua also mentioned that he was being looked at by the Navy Midshipmen and Air Force Falcons. It is interesting to see if we could incorporate that skill to run the triple option at some point.
- He came in with fellow 2018 RB Jahmir Smith. Currently Jafar Armstrong and Tony Jones, Jr. are older but have a fifth year available. All players mentioned here could be around for a while.

Country, Condiment, or Canon
Identifying the player as either a country, condiment, or member of the Star Wars Canon.
C’Bo is from Georgia, the state. Because of that, he is Georgia, the country. You don’t hear about Georgia much, but after reading about it and its more old-school feel, it would be interesting to visit. C’Bo is interesting to see how his skills would be used, we just have to take the time to know more about him.
I normally would say that newer players might not see much playing time, but C’Bo could be different. The running back position has some question marks this season. After losing Josh Adams and Deon McIntosh, there is an opening on who gets many of the carries. It would naturally go to Dexter Williams, but his playing time is up for debate. He might have disciplinary issues, but we do know that he is “on the roster.” Because of Kelly’s cryptic message as well as younger guys vying for carries, C’Bo could see himself gettng some carries early on. Especially with the new redshirt rule where guys can play four games before burning their redshirt, I wouldn’t be surprised to see C’Bo get some carries against Ball State Cardinals, Vanderbilt Commodores, and Wake Forest Demon Deacons. That might be enough to stand out to continue playing. He would have to ball out to show some skill to get into a second or third string position at RB. This season, though, I’m not counting anything out there.
