Somehow, and someway, you favorite website that cover the Notre Dame Fighting Irish missed this amazing news drop:
Beginning with the first home game, fans will have a new food option at Notre Dame Stadium. A concession stand featuring Chick-fil-A sandwiches is opening near Gate E, the student gate. The stand will offer a limited menu of sandwiches, chips, cookies and drinks.
A few of things here...
- We apologize for not reporting on this earlier. This is right in our wheelhouse, and we have failed you miserably.
- There will be ONE stand. ONE.
- The stand will be by the student section — which I love. In a world that caters to (almost exclusively) the wealthy alums that scatter around the stadium telling people to sit down and shut-up, the students get a bit of something they love.
A lot of people (including me) have been very critical of Notre Dame and their concession offerings over the years. It’s ridiculously basic as well as over-priced for being over-priced. Adding this small improvement is a nice sign that Notre Dame might be trending towards doing things a bit differently than the basic concessions of the past.
EAT MOR Y’ALL!
