Woods was hired in 2010 as an Irish assistant and spent the three years prior to that at Boston College where he worked with current Irish head coach Mik Aoki. Woods also spent three years as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Wheaton College, before making the move to the Eagles.
During his time at Notre Dame, Woods helped to bring in five recruiting classes that were ranked in the top 45 nationally. While working with the program’s hitters, he has coached 13 all-conference players, including three this year, and has seen a number of Irish players selected in the MLB Draft.
We wish Coach Woods all the best as he takes the next step in his career.
