Daily started all 54 games for the Irish this season at shortstop, hitting .268. Daily, a junior, has another year of eligibility left should he choose not to sign with the Nationals.
With the draft ending Wednesday, it also means that junior outfielder/third baseman Eric Gilgenbach was not selected in the draft and should be expected to return to the Irish for his senior season after leading the team in home runs as a junior.
